Heritage Le Château, also known as Le Château de Bel Ombre, is located in a 19th century family mansion on a site that dates back to 1765.

The Château, which was honoured for its high gastronomy by TripAdvisor with the Certificate of Excellence 2019, devotes itself to the staples of haute cuisine. It brought in a starred chef to create an exciting ever changing menu. The sophisticated cuisine combines farm-to-fork dining with some of the produce sourced directly from the domaine.
Enjoy a night in Heritage Le Château’s Presidential Suite. Experience fine woodworks intertwined with Venetian chandeliers, paintings, old mirrors, silverware and porcelain vases.
The white curtains and the lounge chair bring a tropical atmosphere. The paintings revive old scenes, China tableware and ornaments represent the bygone colonial era.
The canopy bed, with its immaculate sheets, sits in the middle of the room. Wake up gently with breakfast served on the verandah, and enjoy a breath-taking view on the sumptuous French-style landscaped gardens.
I was blessed to spend my 50th birthday at this fabulous restaurant located within the domaine of Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali and Heritage Villas.
To dine at the Château, you are not required to be a guest of the hotels or villas; anyone can book a meal, afternoon tea or indeed a wedding.
If you are looking for something different, there’s a wonderful apartment suite above the restaurant. This can be booked on half board basis and makes for a magical and unconventional experience.
